10+ Years Serving Buffalo

The marcos Story — Born From a Love of Real Food

Marcos started with a single, unwavering belief: that marco's pizza done right can bring people together. What began as a family recipe in a tiny Buffalo kitchen has grown into one of United States's most loved destinations for fresh, handcrafted food.

Our founder Marco Deluca opened the first Marcos location on Niagara Street in 2013 with nothing more than family recipes, a wood-fired oven and a fierce commitment to quality. Word spread quickly through the neighborhood — the marcos experience was unlike anything Buffalo had tasted before.

Today we still use the same traditional doughs, house-made sauces and locally sourced toppings that made us famous. Every pie that leaves our kitchen carries the same care as that very first one Marco pulled from the oven over a decade ago.

2013

The First Slice

Marco Deluca opens the original Marcos location at 1085 Niagara St, Buffalo. Lines form on opening day and never really stop.

2015

marco pizza Recognition

Buffalo Magazine names Marcos "Best marco pizza in Western New York" — the first of many regional awards that put us firmly on the map.

2017

marcos Expands the Kitchen

We double our kitchen capacity and introduce our wood-fired oven series, allowing us to serve the full marcos pizza menu during peak weekend hours.

2020

Community Through Crisis

During the pandemic, Marcos launches free meal programs for Buffalo frontline workers — serving over 2,000 meals to the community.

2022

Online Ordering Launch

marcoscafe.rest goes live, making it easier than ever for customers across United States to order their favorite marco's pizza from home.

2024

Franchise Program Begins
